I saw an article today where Tom hanks states they are working on TS 4! How does everyone feel about this?

I hate it... Toy Story 3 exceeded so many expectations and I thought they did an outstanding job closing out the story. I can't imagine how they would top it. Plus, how many will they stop at or will they keep making them until they lose money??? No for me!

I don't think it's a good idea. While it may be nice to see the new adventures of Woody, Buzz and the gang at Bonnie's house, I felt like Toy Story 3 was a nice closing chapter for them.

"Working on" TS4 doesn't mean anything concrete yet. If Disney/Pixar had something concrete, they would be making an official statement ASAP. Technically, Disney without Pixar had started "work on" TS3 a few years back. The storyline had the toy company that made Buzz Lightyear do a recall because a safety defect in the toy design, and Buzz and the toys were trying to save Buzz from the recall. Then Pixar and Disney merged - and that TS3 died. There are dozens of films that Disney "works on" that never make it and die quietly. Until Disney/Pixar makes an announcement or actually gets the actors in a studio to record the dialogue audio, then its just a studio pipedream waiting to become a reality...

I was not a fan of TS4 and I think sequels are risky beyond, maybe one. For example, TS2 was great, but I am in the minority by not really liking TS3. C'mon Disney, let's be more original. I would hate to think Lasseter is beginning to phone it in.

I liked TS3 a lot but was kind of surprised with the route that Disney/Pixar took with it. I do hope that if they make a TS 4 it will be to the idea of Andy coming back from college or starting a family where the toys can be with his kids now. I say let it go 4 more years and it will be perfect.

Andy gave away the Toys at the end of TS3, Andy. It would be hard for him to have them back after he gave them away...

What more can they possibly do with the story? I think they closed it nicely! It would be almost shameful to try and top TS 3!

In some ways,I agree; however, if they got a really, really good idea...well...maybe...

Ehhhh.... nah. I think it ended well. What more can be done?

TS3 was great and it ended perfectly. I think they need to leave it where it was, that was the perfect way to wrap it up.

...or have about an all new set of Toys? Maybe it can be about Andy (years later, married, and a father) buying new toys for his child...
