I have a piece of the carpet with the Imagination logo, and my hubby (man I love him) carried one of the BIg Figs (haha nice pun) from JII all the way out to his car in the parking lot because he couldn't wait for them to send it to the front of the park. (this was when we lived there and had year passes, he got it for Christmas, and it has a place of honor right as you come in my front door)
How did you obtain your carpet?!
There is a company called Mouse Surplus. They have a website and are also on Ebay as well. They were selling it. I believe that it was when they were changing the carpet around the time Honey I Shrunk the Audience came in. I have had it for a couple of years now. I am not sure if they are even selling it any more, to be honest. I think it was from that theater, not (unfortunately) from the JII building.
Still cool ~ I forget about mousesurplus until it comes up in conversation, then I'll remember to check it out. Most everything that I like is well outside my price range though :(

Ah, you mean like the $9999 Horizons vehicle? While it is awesome, that is a whole LOT of money. :)

Well, then there is the issue of local pickup, or really, really expensive shipping fees. Not to mention where to put it once I would get it home  Oh well...

I have not heard of this Mousesurplus. I will look into it though. I don't have the money for a Horizons vehicle. I think the snow globes are a collectible item though. My uncle has so many of them. He also collects telephones. I have never seen that many Disney telephones.

Ah, yeah I am not a very good collector, I detest clutter. I'm not sure if they are considered collectables per-say but I'm sure Disney would prefer to have the original concept sketches back in their hands. I'm not even sure how they didn't notice they were gone in the first place.

Right now they are just taking up the space on top of my dresser. I need to build a few shelves or buy a curio cabinet, but I haven't found the right manly one... :D

Maybe you need to commission Mouskedude to make you a vinylmation shaped shadowbox. 8-)

I built my x wife four shadow boxes. That were shaped like each emblem of the parks. MK was the castle shape, AK was the tree of life, EPCOT was Spaceship earth, and MGM was the water tower. I wish I had a picture to show. I thought the EPCOT one was going to be the hardest to build. Turned out it was the Tree of life.

I'm thinking Mousekedude and jacobcary1 would get along nicely! They might even swap shadow box tips...
(Look out M-dude! Don't let Mouseoholic see this or you may have another project on your hands!!!  )

We collect a little of everything, and if we had the resources (space and $$$) we would definitely have more! We'd be the crazy people who have their haous designed after the castle and every inch of the house would be Disney themed. Plus we'd have our own "museum" room...and we'd have that Horizons vehicle....ah to dream... :mickey:

Oh, and currently my 3 VMs are watching over the computer...no special spot for them (and I'm not really collecting them either...just a few that I like).

I had a chance to check out the site. I have come to the conclusion that I can't afford anything that they sell.
