...or maybe since it's been picked up by the national media they feel like the public is now informed and there is no need to continue to send out any more e-mail notifications? "The public is aware - why do we need to do anything more?"

Maybe, but I got another email notification today. I wonder if Wizzard just isn't doing as much business with companies that use(d) Epsilon?

It was a very rough situation and took me hours to get things fixed.

Probably not, they only wanted the contact info so they could sell it to companies that spam you.

Yea they're in it for big money by re-selling the info. I doubt they're screwing around with people's e-mail accounts. If it got hacked and it is related it's most likely someone that got you to click/send something by gaining confidence with you through a legit looking e-mail (which is basically what the cnn.com article posted earlier discusses).

Well aside from the usual reasons, someone in the government (forgot the dept.) put 3.5 million state residents personal info (SS#, birth certificate, etc.) online in a public folder that anyone could get to. They left it up for a year. I didn't think it was possible to beat NJ's data gaff earlier this year but apparently I was wrong.
