I wonder if Subsonic would consider adding that song to request line?

Not necessarily misheard or unintelligible (and not even Disney), but mis-translated: I had a boss once who insisted "Oye Como Va" translated into a farmer and his corn.

Oye Como Va should not be translated literally!

It means: YO! How's it going? or anything similar.

I had an "ah-ha!" moment yesterday. I was listening to Subsonic on the way home from a long and frustrating day at work. The Haunted Mansion was playing and it came to the part in the seance room where I have never really understood why MmeLeota was saying "toads in a bun" :? I finally understood it last night to be "toads in a pond" That makes so much more sense!!

Amy, you aren't alone! I have a lot of trouble deciphering a lot of the Mansion dialogue.

Song-wise, I could never figure out some of what Mrs. Potts is saying in Be Our Guest. Instead of the actual lyrics (which I just now finally looked up), I hear what's in parenthesis:

With dessert, she'll want tea (With de-soot, she'll motif)
...
I'll get warm, piping hot (I'll get warm, I've been hot)
Heaven's sakes! Is that a spot?
Clean it up! We want the company impressed (unintelligible... with all the company in France)

Ditto for the WDW commercials that use One Republic's Good Life. Half of that song, I seriously have no idea what they are saying. And yet that was still my favorite song from 2011. For example...

I should hear: "I say, Oh, got this feeling that you can't fight, Like this city is on fire tonight."
Instead, I hear: "I say, Oh, this feeling that you can't fight, this city is a bad night."

I should also hear: "'Cause hopelessly, the hope is we have so much to feel good about."
Instead, I hear: "'Cause hopelessly, to hopeless we have so much to feel good about."

Allegedly my hearing is excellent, believe it or not. :?

Isn't it funny how some lyrics just don't register!
These are my favorite though ~

Sometimes I'll sing the wrong things just because it is more amusing ~ I might have to use yours ;)

Does anybody know what they are singing about in the Veggie, Veggie, Fruit, Fruit song ~ after the cha, cha, cha, she starts singing, "My friends......(something lightning?)... incredible....each and every time you try fruit and vegetables. They're.......,it's a treat, like a carnival, it's nice to dine with fruits and vegetablessssssssss"

Sure

My friends are exciting,
just like fireworks igniting,
they're incredible.

Sparks always fly,
each and every time you try,
fruit and vegetables.

They're inviting and delighting,
anytime you're with them it's a treat,
like a carnival.
It's nice to dine with fruit and vegetables.
