Horizons Resurrected in CGI
Check out this project: http://horizonsresurrected.com/. Kind of like the mighty microscope ATIS project. Some really neat pics.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

Oh wow, that's real gorgeous and neat.
Re: Horizons Resurrected in CGI
Beautiful. I've seen a CGI ride through video of ATIS. Is that the same thing you're referring to? If so, this ought to be great. I look forward to seeing it finished.

I didn't read it all (making onion jam for burgers) is this the same guy who uses gary's mod to do things like Tower of Terror and the Adventurer's club?

He will need some audio that is not commonly floating around in order to do it. Hopefully someone has it and will donate it. Good luck to him on getting the video he needs for the TV B&W vid of GBBT and the IMAX. Top quality of those aren't floating around the net anywhere.

Usually with stuff like that they usually just do mock ups or use existing assets, kind of like using the G-man for the ghosts in Tower of Terror.

Re: Horizons Resurrected in CGI
I would suggest he hook up with Hoot and Chief from the mesaverdetimes.blogspot, but I just popped over there and saw they had a mention of his CGI adventures so I guess they already are in touch. Those guys have a lot of obscure and in depth info on Horizons!!mindflipper wrote:He will need some audio that is not commonly floating around in order to do it. this project is seriously remarkable, i would like to see disney fund this and provide at the very least as much archival information as it can towards the project (blueprints, photos, music, score, narration) Disney should really have an archive similar to the way many things are archived now.

I wouldn't think they would get involved. Much like they don't accept unsolicited material, this would probably be something quite similar...masterj345 wrote:this project is seriously remarkable, i would like to see disney fund this and provide at the very least as much archival information as it can towards the project (blueprints, photos, music, score, narration) Disney should really have an archive similar to the way many things are archived now.

Also, due to legal restrictions, they wouldn't release the audio either - especially anywhere near the internet!

Re: Horizons Resurrected in CGI
That and unless they bought out Valve (assuming this since all other versions used Gary's Mod) it would look bad since they have their own games division.
Honestly, it's not that difficult of expensive to make your own versions of everything (about $10 and any PC version of a game that uses the Havok engine). That guy who does them has been getting better and better with each attraction too.
The funniest one, from a different guy, was the Left4Dead version of Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland.
