Yes, but you wouldn't get this as an option without Garry's Mod.

That and I would hope disney would never buy a major developer/publisher since their strategy has been "Buy it, start a few high profile things, finish one, close the company/lay everyone off"

LOL they've have been doing a lot of that lately, don't they? I wonder sometimes how this "pays off" for them in the end.

I think their technique is to buy a technology (usually an engine), see it used for one game, kill off the original company and take the engine and knowledge of the application to their main group. Kind of how you need to eat the heart of your enemy to gain their power, their tasty tasty power.

The only drawback to this method is that discovery will take longer because you start near square one since your people will still be new to the technology.

The question is: do they ever use it again to make more games, or did they spend a huge wad of money for something that's basically a "one-hit wonder"?

So far it's only been the latter. They may still be getting up to speed with any tech they buy.

It's from Garry's Mod.

I forget that my audience may not be as abreast in popular games, the man in the tub is the G-Man from the Half Life series and this was a silly pose that someone did that represents all you can do with the mod. :D

He's made some advances lately - it is looking good. I wonder if the actual ride detail will be easier because you will be viewing it from the ride vehicle, otherwise this seems to be a multi-year project.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

Ah, I see he is going to release it as an interactive thing so he is making it way harder on himself/sandbaging the quality by not using garry's mod.

I assume this must be an awesome site, but it crashes whenever I get it loaded and try to move around to look at anything :(

I follow the guy on Twitter to see if he is going to make any updates, but he hasn't done anything in the past year. I guess he just got too busy to invest in something that wasn't going to give him anything in return. He learned a lot about CGI along the way and perhaps it has helped him in his day job. I hope he gets a chance to go back and complete the project. I know he blew a lot of people away at EPCOT's 30th Birthday by creating a 3D version that was also domed to give you an immersive feeling.
