The only reason I did was so I would be able to complain about how much they suck! I didn't think it would be fair to bash the series if I never read it.

I wonder how close the films stick to the books? Because if they do stick closely, then I think anyone who sits through the films have the right to bash the movies and therefore the books by proxy of the films.
