True, that would be easiest and cheapest (no FX budget) solution to getting around that problem. Why spend the imagination power trying to figure out how to get the ship out of the bottle?Wizzard419 wrote:Probably not, it will either be already out of the bottle or they will have just completed it at the start.

Seemed like they set it up to be out of the bottle for the 5th movie. I recall Jack and Gibbs talking about getting the pearl out. The plot line is definitely set for Angelica to be Jack's foe in the movie but they will need to just get what both will be after.mindflipper wrote:True, that would be easiest and cheapest (no FX budget) solution to getting around that problem. ...or they could go in a different direction altogether. It's Hollywood. Good idea yesterday is stale today and will be old news tomorrow.

They already established how it was going to get out of the bottle (get a few things and wiggle one's fingers about in the air).mindflipper wrote:True, that would be easiest and cheapest (no FX budget) solution to getting around that problem. Just a quick update: the DVD and blu-ray come out on October 18, 2011. So for those who want to advance order, everyone from amazon.com to Disney Store on-line are taking pre-orders now...

Still haven't seen it, is it worth it? I was so disappointed and albeit APPALLED by how awful 2 and 3 were that I've been hesitant to spend the money.

I totally agree with POTC2 and POTC3 being that bad. I've always ranked the films this way: 1,4,5, then 2 and 3. Yes, I know, POTC5 hasn't been made yet but even not being made makes it better than the second and third film by far...Soarin08 wrote:Still haven't seen it, is it worth it? Wait what, a fifth one? OH GOOD GRIEF. I'm kind of ready for this franchise to die already.mindflipper wrote:I totally agree with POTC2 and POTC3 being that bad. The only four-film franchise I know of that worked was Indiana Jones, in my opinion.

The Batman rebooted franchise will have it's 4th in Summer 2012. Shrek did 4 too.
But why stop at 4? Why not 5 or more. Warner Brothers did 8 Harry Potter films? Star Wars did 6! And the Twilight series of films will have 4 and 5 coming out in Winter 2011 and Summer 2012.

Yes but there are 7 Harry Potter books, the last one so epic it had to be split.mindflipper wrote:The Batman rebooted franchise will have it's 4th in Summer 2012. Shrek did 4 too.

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides
I've never read any of the books, but I promised a friend that I would go see the movies with her as no one else in family or friends are willing to go...
