I'm not sold on the new movie plot line yet, but to have anything reach the heights of the Muppet Movie for me would be pretty well impossible. The new character doesn't look quite right for a Muppet...but I'm still holding out hope that I'll love it!

From what I've heard, the Muppets have to raise money (like a telethon I believe) so some real estate tycoons won't demolish the Muppet Theater.

Disney may own the Muppets (thankfully not all of them) but I think they are smart enough to not put duffy (read: Devil spawn) in their movie.

If memory serves, the new Muppet is supposed to look like the director of the movie. I could be wrong on that though.

Or I've seen the new Muppet in a photo and (to me at least) it looks more like a Muppet version of the director, Jason Segel (I think I read or heard him say that in an interview a while ago, I could be wrong).

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't add new muppets anyhow; something that can be pushed by the merchandising arm of the company.

I've seen very little Muppet merchandise at the parks. I've seen Kermit and Miss Piggy pins, a Kermit pookalooz and I THINK I've seen a Rizzo doll but I may have been imaging things.
