Oh, good lord... your minds have all been taken over!! AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!!
Just kidding.... sort of... while I personally don't like these.. AT.. ALL.., I certainly can't begrudge my fellow Subsonicers from indulging in something they find interesting. I can only hope that this sort of thing doesn't completely take over... (putting on my tinfoil hat for protection....... just joking... ).

Don't worry, Mousekedude, you're not alone. I think it's the people collecting them that may need to go on the meds...it's just a fad. If they're already hitting clearance sales, something tells me its a fad already fading fast (maybe faster than they expected...)...

If that turns out to be true, I shall resume breathing, then...mindflipper wrote:Don't worry, Mousekedude, you're not alone. Vinylmation to me looks like a cheap knock-off of the little japanese figure toys that was a fad some time ago.

Re: Vinylmation
Good observation, Mindflipper.
And NaCler, don't break your arm patting yourself on the back. I suspected that's what you were up to, and I figured that it helped your nefarious little scheme to actually have a partial interest in the subject vis-a-vis your offspring actually liking the things. We're on to your wicked ways, my friend...

I couldn't stand those! The things I don't like are those pook-a-looz thingys...they're downright creepy.mindflipper wrote:Vinylmation to me looks like a cheap knock-off of the little japanese figure toys that was a fad some time ago.
(just wait, a cute one will strike my fancy and I will end up eating those words....ugh! )
Unfortunately, the computer I'm using isn't recognizing the image and I cannot see itelizabethswann wrote:
Now this is one I haven't seen. I may check this one out.
Anytime! I was truly impressed by the one that Noah painted (not to mention how quickly it was finished)...I'd love to see another one if it's out there!NaCler wrote:MmeLeota - Thanks for sharing those pics. I think Noah did another life-size one for the World of Color Premiere. I'll have to see if I can find the video. It was pretty cool looking.

The only ones I like are the Parks ones. Things that reference the parks will always be good collector's items.
1986: Offsite
1997: Offsite
2001: Coronado Springs
2008: Shades of Green / Saratoga Springs (WDW Half Marathon)
2009: Port Orleans French Quarter (WDW Half Marathon)
2010: Port Orleans Riverside (Honeymoon)
2011: Old Key West / Bay Lake Tower
2014: Kidani Village
2015: Old Key West (5th Wedding Anniversary)
2016: Old Key West (Kids' first WDW vacation in December!)

Big - That's about where I am with these things. I like a few of the ones from the parks. Especially the ones with old EPCOT/WDW logos on them. I can do without a lot of them though!theBIGyowski wrote:The only ones I like are the Parks ones. Things that reference the parks will always be good collector's items.

Re: Vinylmation
Even some of the park ones rub me the wrong way...
Re: Vinylmation
Judging by the amount of guests cheating and opening the boxes in the Vinylmation section of Mouse Gear yesterday, I would say that is far from true.mindflipper wrote:If they're already hitting clearance sales, something tells me its a fad already fading fast (maybe faster than they expected...)...

Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”
