Thanks for the photos. I'm not going anywhere near there until after the holidays - as it is I try to avoid TSQ as much as possible. Did anyone on the board get tickets to the D23 store event? Those sold out in an eyeblink.

MoonPet what part of Brooklyn are you from? I was born in Coney Island (when it was Italian), and (went to Ft Hamilton HS) lived in Bay ridge in the 70's.

Dyker Heights.
Lived in Bay Ridge (Shore Road and 92 St) for a few years and often parked on the side of Ft. Hamilton HS when no other parking was to be found).

I lived in the last house on 3rd ave right across from 101 street. My bedroom was in the attic and my window looked right (before the built the condos) at or through the bridge. Small world, the was my neighborhood, my little sister and brother went to Dyker Beach middle school.

Thanks for the pics, dichuy! The inside definitely looks more impressive than the outside (and larger too).

Re: Disney takes over Times Square
I just found out that I'll be in NYC next weekend and the store is on the top of my to-do list. I honestly don't mind having to deal with crowds inside a Disney store since I'm used to putting up with crowds at Disney Parks.

Trick to avoiding the crowds: Go about 20 minutes before closing. They don't kick you out at closing time I took some pictures while I was there. My overall feeling was that it was just not as good as the World of Disney store on 55th and 5th. However, it was nice to have Disney back in NYC. I'll have pictures in the coming days.elizabethswann wrote:Good luck with the crowds when you go, Len. We expect photos!

Re: Disney takes over Times Square
Not exactly the same as say World of Disney at the marketplace, which really doesn't care if guests are in the store 1 hour after closing. The Times Square location didn't mind if you stay a bit after closing, but would not want anybody in there 30 minutes after closing. I'll have pics up in the coming days, but they are most likely going to be almost exact duplicates of what dichuy posted.Amy wrote:So the stores are like the parks ~ let them stay and shop as looooooooong as they likeLen90 wrote:Trick to avoiding the crowds: Go about 20 minutes before closing.
