I heard the Disney Store company is operated by the same company that does the children's place, is that still true?
So there are 2 Disney stores by you now? And they compete with one another? Weird!

Yes, same for Macy's, Nordstrom, Apple, there are even 2 targets within 2 miles of each other.

West coast has urban sprawl so you can pretty much drive through a large portion of southern california and never leave civilization. As for why the people who own these places choose to make them all within 5 mins of one another, you will have to ask them. Does make holiday shopping hella easy since there are 2 or 3 of the exact same place to go.

Lived in Coldwater Canyon when I was 18, even then there were just to many people in the valley. I didn't like living in the LA area at all. I like the south a lot more. Need to move back to the South West coast of Florida as soon as I can!! Pine Island keeps calling my name!! you can keep urban sprawl!

Sadly, the damage had been done. If you spend more than 20 consecutive hours in the valley you will be harmed by the heat, pollution, and porn industry.

So...I'm guessing you have spent the pre-requisite 20 hours there then?! ;)

Getting this quickly back on topic, I am proud to say that I got my free Mickey ears today. I also got a big Mickey lollipop for correctly answering a Disney trivia question. I knew my knowledge would pay off one day!

Congrats dude! Is it a plain set of ears, or did you get "Len" embroidered on them?

It really is awesome to see some random Disney knowledge paying off. I was surprised to see the Lollipop was actually one that you would buy in WDW for $4. It is distributed by Disney Parks and is part of the Goofy's Candy Co.

Here's the ears you get. I believe the only way to get these is to attend a store opening.
