So this isn't really "crafting"...but when DS broke his leg last month and ended up in a full leg cast...he wanted me to draw some Disney characters on it. I didn't get a good picture of the Mickey...but here are the other characters he got over the 2 weeks he wore the cast.

(here are links until I figure out how to post pictures from Google Photos)

Nice job ~ I'm telling you, you could have been a Disney artist! And drawing on casts is especially tricky with that bumpy fiberglass surface!
Is he almost out of the cast? Poor little guy, such a hot time of the year to be in one.

Thanks...he's out of his cast now and only wears a boot when he's outside playing. He's a trooper.

I've been drawing Disney characters since I was 3 years old. The first Mickey I ever drew was back when my parents took me to Disney on Ice in the mid 80s. They bought me a backpack there with Mickey on it and I decided to draw it when we got home. I will say that the "Magic of Disney Animation" that used to be at DHS taught me the correct way to draw characters. Once you learn the way they do it...it's actually quite easy to draw them. It was difficult doing it on the cast though...I have to admit that. Plus you can't use pencil because you can't see it...so I had to draw with a lot more confidence since everything was with a Sharpie. DS loved it though which was the goal.

Very nicely done! You should keep that cast as wall art now that it's off!

Trying to make some wall decor. My house is coastal theme but I like adding Disney in when ever possible. I'm making some wooden fish and would like to paint them mickey, donald, goofy, pluto style, but more coastal colors like corals, teals, turquoise... Cant believe I cant find any online. Any ideas?

looks like you're off to a good start ~ maybe just stick with more pastel or lighter colors to match your decor but still bring out the characters' personality and defining design elements?
