Now how many people can say that they have had a cake made of themselves?
And, Yes it was Yummy!
So cool. Please post if you make other shirts! I always love to add to my collectionbcgm3 wrote:Don't know how I missed this thread for so long! I'm a graphic designer by trade and have always been inspired by Disney's dedication to aesthetics, so it's only natural I have a good handful of pieces pertaining to the parks and characters I love most. Most recently, I finished an illustration that I turned into a screenprint, which I do myself on a homemade press.
(I also made the Big Thunder Mountain theme for Subsonic!)
Thanks! Here's another one that combines EPCOT's Spaceship Earth emblem with the message seen above the original (?) EPCOT model that can be seen on the TTA at Magic Kingdom. I always liked the words, and still think them evocative of of what really EPCOT is/was about. I'm still perfecting the design, and plan on printing them in silver instead of white.kelpseaweedkelp wrote:So cool. Please post if you make other shirts! I always love to add to my collection
Nice job on the BTM background
Yup. Subtle yet awesome for ppl in the know. Do you gets lots of nods of acknowledgement?Amy wrote:I like that design too ~ very cool!
VERY few... The only person to call me out on it and really know what was up was a cook in a Five Guys restaurant. I think most people recognize it as "The EPCOT Ball" right away, but much less know the phrase or where it comes from. I'm also working on making the text more crisp so it's legible from further away, maybe that'll help. The "Dear Sweet Leota" print garners way more responses.kelpseaweedkelp wrote:Do you gets lots of nods of acknowledgement?
Um, the Dear Sweet Leota is garnering a HUGE response from this gal!!!bcgm3 wrote:VERY few... The only person to call me out on it and really know what was up was a cook in a Five Guys restaurant. Thanks! And I wanted to follow up on what kelpseaweedkelp asked -- I wore the shirt out to EPCOT yesterday, and had 4 people stop to ask me where I got the shirt. Guess it just depends on the day! Still working on the silver ones, should be printing this week .Mupsy90 wrote:Love those shirts! The Haunted Mansion is my favorite ride and EPCOT is my favorite park! lol I'm impressed! Love that you incorporated that quote onto the EPCOT ball. Very cool
