Wow this is very saddening. It is good to see the ones on Disney property will stay open but a shame that the rest of the chain will close up. I really liked the one in Times Square. It was an impressive one to see.

Man, we're losing 2 of them around this area, Baltimore and DC... sad.

We went there to say goodbye last night since we're not sure if we'll get there again by Tuesday. I talked to some of the people working there and one gal said that she found out on the news and another said she found out through facebook. Could you imagine???

That's awful that they didn't tell the employees directly!
We only have been to the ESPN zone a few times, both while we were at Disney, and both times when we had a gift card to use that was part of the vacation package. It seemed like a fun spot and I'm sure it will be missed by many :(

That's awful that the employees found out on the news. Not surprising, but awful.

I last visited an ESPN zone in Chicago last summer. I always liked them especially being from out of town you could always find your team on one of the TVs. We don't have one in Boston. But I am glad they are keeping the Club at the Boardwalk and they have the new place over at Wide World of Sports.

I'm glad they're keeping the one at the Boardwalk as well, can't imagine what they would put in it's place?!

We've been to the one in Chicago, I can't say I was impressed. I like the one in Disney, probably just the face that I can look out of the restaurant window and see the Boardwalk, that's an awesome feeling!

Wow, that is pretty sad that they weren't informed directly.

I was so shocked that some of the workers were not told directly...I feel really badly for them and I would hope that they get some sort of compensation since it was such short notice.

You know, it's not one of our favorite places to go since it's on the strip and we don't go on the strip often. (Besides, we can go to any casino to check out any games we don't get on TV at home) But it was always nice to know that it was there...especially with it being owned by Disney. Plus we would go there with out-of-town family/friends.

Oh well, it's just another thing to do at DTD...

I've never gone to the ESPN Zone here in California but I'm curious to ask those that have been there. Is the food good? Is it pricey? All I remember seeing when I was in there for a split second were many television screens and an arcade upstairs.
