While checking out the best Disney Movie tread I thought this might be fun to vote on as well.

So Here is my List

This is just Disney movies, not including Pixar movies...then the list would be very different. There are so many great soundtracks, that it is so hard to pick just 10...I had a couple of ties.

Has Pixar made any musicals? I would have included Fantasia 2000 on my list except it's not a musical...is it??

For me, it's Jungle Book hands down. I think I know all the songs from it. Don't forget, I married Baloo!! If I could change my handle it would be "Shere Khan"! NO, not Mogli!

The music is what I immediately thought of when I first read this too...

My bad then...I thought there was a reason for the distinction between musical soundtrack (song and score) as opposed to music soundtrack (score only), and the fact the first list were all musical movies. If we were to go for music soundtracks, I would revise my list to include Fantasia 2000 and Something Wicked This Way Comes.

Beauty and the Beast, hands-down. Then Lion King.

Basically, throw in my top five Disney films (Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Rescuers Down Under, Little Mermaid, Mulan) along with POTC 1 and there's my favorites.

I gotta agree with you on that one....Out There is a fabulous song that gives me chills! (especially during the now defunct Animazement show at DL where Out There, Just Around the Riverbend and Go the Distance were all sung together...)

"Topsy Turvy" is so fun to play on the piano! And one of my piano students is currently playing "God Help the Outcasts". She wanted to hear it first so I played it for her at her last lesson and she sang along...she has such a beautiful voice it gave me the gooseybumps!
