Re: License plates and other car embellishments
Wow No wonder I see so many more personalized plates for Michigan than Indiana (we live right on the border between the two) I would have to think a little harder about $45 a year. Our license plates are tied to the value of the car and even though our vehicles are 10 and 12 years old, we are still in the $130's each year. so the lower fee helps put a smile on my face when I see them, and when I notice people behind me at stoplights looking at the plate. Most smile or laugh, and the ones that roll their eyes, well, let's just say I accelerate a little more slowly for them when the light changescy1229 wrote:No. It's $45 extra for a personalized plate in Indiana. Registration and stickers for my car already cost about $150 a year so I don't want to shell out more. I do think, though, that I'm going to get a different antenna topper for my car. Right now I have classic black Mickey but it's not very distinctive.Amy wrote:cy1229 ~ do you have the WDWLUVR plate? I was surprised to find it only costs $15 for a personalized plate in Michigan. Well worth it for my Mom and me. That is part of her Mother's Day gift each year, her F1gment plate

Re: License plates and other car embellishments
Michigan prorated the plate the first time we got them. It was actually a really good deal that first year because for some reason it was waaaaaay cheaper than I would have expected. You might check if your state does that. You can always go online and play with the plate generator to see if certain combinations are availablefigmentaholic wrote:hmmm.. a f1gment plate.. a shame that I literally *JUST* redid my plates like a week or two ago.. but maybe next year.
Re: License plates and other car embellishments
Here it isn't too expensive to do the personalisation, I just was too lazy to wait for the plate. It was only $27 for the vanity tag vs. $15 for the stupid standard FL tag so I just went with that. Maybe in the future.
Saw "WDW CMS" (WDW CMs) this morning. They were pokey. I passed their slow butt coming into Celebration since they didn't get that 45MPH is the speed limit and not 35MPH.

Re: License plates and other car embellishments
We gave up our plate when we moved... It was a bunch of sit and wait to get the vanity tags and our current registration was about to run out so we just got the regular plates.

That was me. When I got retitled to FL, I had 30 days to get it all squared away. No time to rush about getting things too fancy.MmeLeota wrote:We gave up our plate when we moved... They have SOOOOOO many cute antenna toppers now; I just couldn't believe the suggestion. My daughter, who is into cupcake baking, bought a pink cupcake with a "Minnie" bow. For myself, it was a close call: the Mickey Bar with a bite out of it (super cute) or the Mickey rain slicker. I finally decided on the rain slicker because it just seemed more like a "summer" Mickey to me than the ice cream.

I have a "Save the World" license border (couldn't think of the actual name.) that I got back in 2009. I will probably get another one this year cause it's pretty dirty. I also have a small tiger striped Mickey head key chain hanging from my rear-view mirror, and a mini (like fit in the palm of your hand mini) Nala plush sitting on my dash that I found in Wal-Mart.

Cute! What does the Save the World license plate holder look like? I saw a pink, princess crowned Minnie antenna topper yesterday on the car in front of me. That was pretty cuteCub wrote:I have a "Save the World" license border (couldn't think of the actual name.) that I got back in 2009. I will probably get another one this year cause it's pretty dirty.
