Reminds me of the Poly....oh wait, it should shouldn't it? So, spend a boat load to go to Hawaii or spend half a boat load and stay at the poly?

I'd go to Hawaii. I was born there and lived until I was a year and a half so I would love to go back.

I don't know, Boilerdude, but it looks better than the Poly. I know you and boilerbabe love the Poly, but I've always felt it needed a big update to bring it up to same level as some of the other resorts.

The Poly could use a little freshening but I agree with Boiler. Why spend all that $$ on going to Hawaii when there is a reasonable facsimile closer with much more to offer (meaning the rest of WDW).

Because its Hawaii!!!

If you go there, you're not going to spend your time in the resort hotel - you're gonna be spending time on the beach, or surfing, or scuba, or sailing! Hotels may be alike but Orlando and Oahu are not the same thing! It's Hawaii!

personally i think if you are going to go to WDW then go to WDW, but if you are going to Hawaii then go to Hawaii. and do hawaii for Hawaii not Disney does Hawaii. No offense to Disney but Hawaii is expensive enough as it is.

We love the Poly the way it is, I know we're biased. And if I was going to go Hawaii, I would go Disney! I'm sure the resort is absolutely gorgeous and you get the Disney treatment, sign me up! 8-)

I agree, boilerbabe, I would love to stay at the Disney resort in Hawaii if I was there. However, there's no way I could imagine the Poly in Orlando would be a substitute for a Diz resort in Hawaii. I would like to see them upgrade the Poly at WDW. Its just past due for some work.

Your right, I am sure there is no comparison between the two BUT, I can't visit DHS in Hawaii

All in all, I would do the Hawaii resort in a heart beat. They better serve Dole Whips there.

Yeah. I guess. But Hawaii does nothing for me. Mostly b/c I don't like doing any of those thing that you mention above. Golf I like. But I can't see flying 12 hours to golf in Hawaii. There are plenty of beautiful courses on the mainland and especially in Florida.

And I thought boilerbabe had a bad Disney addiction!

And you really love those Dole Whips. If you only go once a year, how do you guys get through the rest of the year without your Dole Whips? :? :?:

Hey, kcarts, I don't do alot of that stuff either, but I do enjoy the sand, the warm sun and the salty beach air. There's nowhere in Orlando you can get that authentic beach environment.

Yes, I have it bad thanks to DW.

The DW loves the Dole Whips way more than I do, she even has a Dole Whip dance.

Dole Whip Dance?? PLEASE TELL ME YOU HAVE VIDEO OF THIS! :D  No wait, cancel that - I don't want boilerbabe coming after me - hehehe. 8-)

A very talented family, the double-boilers: one dances to dole whips, the other writes and sings to polynesian version of christmas carols!

True indeed. But I live on the coast. So I get that salt smell all year long! Granted this time of year it's from the DPW trucks salting the roads.....
