Anyone Excited about the 50th?

I am totally excited about the Disneyland 50th Celebration. I am seeing billboards all over town (Los Angeles) with the Love Bug for the celebration. Anyone know of some of the festivities planned starting in May?

Kinda - we go to WDW every year and we know that at least every other year Disney plans something "big" - remembering that each things lasts 18 months. Example - 25th Anniversary when the castle was pink, then the Milleneum Celebration, then the big Sorcerer Hat for Walt Disney's 100th Birthday.
I know that down the road if we miss one thing, then they'll be another.
We are looking forward to trying out all the new attractions since we were there in October and our kids haven't tried Mission Space yet. So, I know it'll be fun.

I am just excited about going to WDW...celebration or not. I am looking forward to trying Soarin' so I guess I am excited about it.

We are very excited about going. This year there is going to be acouple of new things to see.We start planning many months ahead of time, so the excitment builds every day.
Is Space Mountain Open yet?

Someone told me that Space Mountain at DL has reopened, but I thought it was opening in July, does anyone have any info?

Not true. They have not trained the new crew yet anyway. All of these rumors are abounding because it dissappeared off of the refurb list on disneyland.com. Turns out it is just a data problem with the refurb. list.

It is still July 15th, but I bet there will be soft openings the week or two before. Possibly sooner, but it looks like it would be mid-June at the absolute earliest.

There is another thread on this. SM was open yesterday and today. It will probably be open thru the 4th, and off and on until the 15th.
