Happy Birthday, Mickey! 2009 edition
Well, I'm a little late with this, but I've usually posted something about it being Mickey's birthday today. Mostly because I share the same birthday as the Mouse. So...
HAPPY 81st, MICKEY!
HAPPY 81st, MICKEY!

Yep, yesterday was Mickey Mouse's 81st birthday. It feels like yesterday we were celebrating the 80th.
It also makes you wonder... has it really been that long?

You make a very good point about Disney extending celebrations to last for a year. However, I was referring to the point where we on the board acknowledged the 80th birthday last year. I just can't believe a year has gone by that fast.mindflipper wrote:It's just that Disney celebrates it for a really long time - the rest of us celebrate a birthday just one day a year, not several weeks/months!Len90 wrote: has it really been that long?
Also for extending celebrations, a place like Disney has no choice but to do that. They can't just honor it for one day if they want to attract people to come. For instance, they could use an event like Mickey's 80th as the reason to get people to come down to WDW for that year. Then the next year they can find another reason to draw mroe people down or most of those people who came, back.
