Just got an e-mail from a Disney magazine staffer asking if they could print my letter in the Summer (or possibly Fall) issue. Stoked!

Basically covers the same stuff I said re: So. Cal. students going to DL during the Bicentennial in this post.

Man, what a long post....

It's something else. A guy contacted me about being part of a documentary about the "Disney Phoenomenon". People who are obsessed with Disney. Especially the pin traders. Those people who spend every day and all day at the park with their collections of pins to trade. *shudders* He finds it interesting that people enjoy listening to audio from the parks and wants to get my perspective on the whole thing. Which is, someone who enjoys the memories but isn't fanatical. It's a small production and will probably be shown at film festivals.

I get it for having an Annual Passport.

QuickGold I'm surprised I haven't been approached yet by Disney to shut down my site :)

Well you're not distributing their music, you're not charging anything for it and you're basically advertising for them. And, no offense, but you and I are small potatoes to them ;) I always see Disney addresses in my website logs so someone is stopping by :P

That documentary sounds cool. Back when I was heavily involved in streaming media, I captured/transcoded/compressed many, many documentaries for a film school. Some were a little dry, but some were really great.

It reminds me of one I encoded called Fanboy.

(No promises on the URLs; once I left things seemed to fall apart.)

Best wishes with that! And, thanks everyone for the congrats...!

Wow, I thought Spring (current issue) was the last! Let's hope this isn't the case.

I was told at my local Disney Store that the current (Spring) issue was the "Farewell" issue. I bought a copy and will take a look when I get home for the article. Also, when I have the chance, I'll see what I can find as far as the status of if/when the magazine is due to fold (no pun intended  ).

Sad day.. I loved getting it in the mail.

Just another reason to move so I can get my Disney fix earlier.
