Park visitors, are you more in tune since Subsonic?

Just curious if you've been to the parks since Subsonic has been around have you noticed you're more "in tune" with the music playing around you? Do you find yourself saying, "hey, I know that song! Epcot area music loop 2!!!!" ??

That's a very interesting question. I don't think it's changed me. I used to work at Disneyland so all of the music it's sorta tuned out. I don't pay attention to it, but I know it adds to the atmosphere.

That is called irony, folks!

By the way, sub, what did you at Disneyland?

I think it has changed two things for me:
  • 1. I am much more aware of the music playing in the parks. I'm not to the point where I know all the tracks.. but I tend to listen more then I used too
    2. I have a greater appreciation for the music, and how it shapes the entire experience. The music plays such an integral part in the entire Disney Experience...

Thanks sub!!!

I've done that, especially at the Studios. Not so much I know the name but in my head I know the tune of the next song coming up.

Hmm, well I don't really notice the music more when I'm at the parks, but I do have more of an appreciation of it. Thinking about it, the atmosphere bgm surely adds to the whole experience.

Next time I'll be sure to say, "hey that's the 'disneyland - new orleans square - railroad station - continental code message' omgzlolwtfwoot!!!!"

Then my friends would just sigh and shake their heads.

I'm looking forward to getting there and listening for familiar tunes. I sure wouldn't know what each song is, either (if so, I think I'd need help!), but I'm certain much would be familiar to me, listening for this long now! You really do take for granted how much the music contributes to the whole Disney experience-it's quite amazing when you think about every little detail that goes into each attraction/area....I think I'm looking most forward to seeing Mariachi Cobre playing live, and also Off-Kilter--love that music!!!

at least for the tracks with dialog, my friends/family are going to be sorry I found this site. I'll be quoting things like Timekeeper, Ellen, Haunted Mansion, Spaceship Earth, and even the resort TV loop the entire time we're there, exactly on cue with the attraction itself...

First post here :D .

Actually for me it's was the other way around, not that I know the BGM by name like "Epcot area music loop 2", but everytime I go into an area the BGM is the first thing I notice, it helps set the scene for me. It's kinda the anchor as I walk a land or area.

I was very happy to find this site since now I can listen to a song and place myself in the area of the park where it plays.

Welcome, Sorcerer Mickey! I know what you mean. It's so great to have this music to listen to to bring back memories and kind of put you there again. I haven't been to any of the parks in almost 2 years, but do recognize a lot of the music from different places, too. Makes me long to get back!

js3901--That's too funny. I imagine I'll be doing the same. It already drives my family nuts that I listen to this all the time! The kids thought it was awesome for the first few weeks, now they're like, "Mom, get a life!" I'm sure the eyes will be rolling when we finally get down there, too.
