Peerless, you asked about a movie where a family inherits a ski lodge, they move there and all sorts of disasters occur. I think that was Snowball Express. I remember in elementary school, the day before winter vacation started the entire school would watch that movie in the cafeteria. Of course we all laughed when the mayhem ensued, but never really cared about the plot.
Are we there yet? When can we go back?

I don't know what's worse, the anticipation of going or the withdrawals after getting home.

I am just "plane" nuts. My favorite "older" Disney movie is Rocketeer. If any of you are at Disney World and would like to see both of the Gee Bee racers in the movie, Fantasy of Flight is only a 20 minute drive away, at Polk City, FL. It is only 5 minutes by jetpack.

OK, here's an old one. Flipping channels the other night I came across an old 1970's Disney movie called "One of our Dinosaurs is Missing" in which Helen Hayes and a group of old British ladies battle against Chinese gangsters. It was soooo bad...

Wow! Can't say I remember that one. From your description, I guess I know why... ;)

A few weeks ago I saw both Witch Mountain movies. I loved them as a kid, but I look at them now and realize how cheesy they were...lol

When I was a kid The Boatniks was one of my favorite Disney movies. I think the oddest memory I have of seeing a Disney movie as a kid was when I saw The Jungle Book. It was at a Saturday matinee with (and get this) Patton. What were they thinking? I was a little boy, I thought it was great. I didn't understand till much later why my sister thought it was weird.

PS withspirit, You make me feel so old The Rocketeer as an old Disney movie!

A lot of these "forgotten" movies were wicked cheap at Best Buy right now when I stopped by there. At least $10 I would say, I only saw them briefly

I did put ""older"" in quotes! (I think I just double-quoted - dodging the punctuation police - again)

I tried making my first grade class watch Fantasia and they were instantly bored! It made my heart hurt

There are movies like Fantasia, The Aristocats, Petes Dragon, Homeward Bound, Oliver and Company, and many more that have been forgotten or not appreciated. :(

Fantasia is one of my Favorite Disney Movies, not only is it horrible that the new generation hasn't heard of it, but its sad that the beauty and the amazing way the music is brought to real life is not appreciated

Oh that is sad! Good for you for trying to introduce them to a classic like Fantasia. Even if one child remembers and appreciates the music later in life it is worth it!!

I have never seen Fantasia before but I did see Fantasia 2000, and that one I hated.

I agree! Fantasia 2000 was horrible in my opinion too.

Try to watch the first Fantasia, I really believe that you will like it :)
