Oh lord, just when things couldn't get any worse...

I'm sorry but I love the TV Movie with Steve Guttenberg and Kirsten Dunst. They should leave it as it is and not bother making an actual movie.

You know Disney can't leave well enough only! Like it said in the article, I hope it's not like the HM movie.

Wasn't Disney going to make a Jungle Cruise movie?

Yes, with a release scheduled for 2006 but that didn't work. I'm afraid to even see what they'll do with a Jungle Cruise movie. This article here: http://www.slashfilm.com/article.php/20 ... gle-cruise was posted in '06 but I haven't heard any other news on it.

Still, Disney shouldn't bother with anymore ride based movies. I didn't care for the last POTC and the Haunted Mansion was so terrible. What's next, they'll do a BTMR one called "The Legend of Thunder Mountain"?

lmao a jungle cruise movie?!?!? that's just too funny! I can't even believe they even considered making a jungle cruise movie

As for the Tower of Terror, i would like to see that one as long as its better than the haunted mansion movie  Make it like PG-13 or god forbid rated R so its scary! I know disney would never make an R rated movie but come on its the tower of TERROR! Make the movie scare me!

How about a movie based off of the Tiki Tiki room.

How about a cartoon movie based on Goofy's Barnstorm. Now that sounds doable.

Oh no! Please don't ruin my most fav. attraction and the oldTwilight Zone episodes for me. AUGH! I don't see this going well.

I aboslutely LOVE the old Twilight Zone episodes with Rod Serling, when they made the new ones, I thought they were horrible. Some things should be left alone!

I did't think HM was terrible, but Pirates was def. better!

What's next, Disney doing a movie about bedtime stories that come true?

Ugh. I don't think the story in ToT (the ride, not the tv movie thing) is strong enough to support a full movie. That means they're going to add bits a la Haunted Mansion movie. That right there is a big red flag to me.

The reason they were able to make a 'based on PotC' movie work, imo, is because there ... well, I don't want to say there isn't a story to that ride but there kind of isn't, if that makes sense. It's more of an immersive 'watch the pirates attack the town' kind of thing, so they could go wherever they wanted with that. (And did, and now it's 'watch the pirates hunt for Johnny Depp'.)

I think ToT is a lot more ... pedantic, I guess in telling the audience the premise of these five people were zapped in an elevator, and look there are some ghosts, and now let's ride the elevator. That seems a lot more tied down than the general pirates idea. Unless they make the movie theater go up and down. 'cause that'd be kind of cool.

They really need to leave Tower of Terror alone! One of the great things about that ride is the mystique surrounding the old Twilight Zone episodes and all the wonderful little things that alude to many of the different episodes!! The ride itself is entertaining enough and tells the entire story, we don't need a movie about it!

BTW Haunted Mansion is my favorite ride and I absolutely detest the movie...UGH!

Look on the bright side... it can't be any worse than the Haunted Mansion or the Country Bears movies.

The Country Bears is a miracle of modern cinema!

I'll wait to see what they do with it until I pass judgement. I felt that the HM movie was tolerable, and I'll watch it if it's the only thing on. I also liked the Pirates movies. So, we'll see where they go with it.

It seems like Disney either makes really bad or really good movies when it comes to theming movies after the attractions.
