Oy! It appears we've got 2 more trips to plan before next August and I'm hoping that we will still be able to squeeze in the Expo.
We knew about one trip in February, but we recently found out that we are going on a cruise with my parents in June! While the cruise is paid for, we have to cover our airfare and any spending $$...a pretty sweet deal, but kinda hard when you've only got one income and 2 other trips to plan. I'm working on-call right now for the holiday season, so that will definitely help. But my dad was really pushing for the 4 of us to go on this trip together because mom is starting to have some health issues and he wants her to be able to experience as much as she can before she can't anymore.

That is great that you will be able to vacation with your parents. I know what you mean about scraping together the funds. F1gment and I might be getting airline tickets from my one brother who has to cash in his frequent flyer miles, but we still need to pull together hotel and ticket money and all that. We are still figuring out what the best plan is...
