You know, we're in our second year of membership now, and have yet to go to any of the events! I sometimes wonder if it's worth it, but yesterday I wore my "Are you 23?" t-shirt again and got some reactions... yeah, it's worth it...

Have you received the Fall 2011 issue about the WDW 40th yet?

Ummm, positive reactions? ;) Just kidding! One of my students was grilling me today on my age and was mad because I wouldn't tell her. She ended up asking her Dad after her lesson and is now positive I am 26. I am ok with that  I should get one of the "Are you 23?" shirts and drive her completely nuts!

Not sure... Mouseoholic usually snaps them up the instant they arrive... and then I never see them again.
I'll have to ask her....

Thanks! It's a commission piece I had drawn for us by James Silvani (illustrator for the Darkwing Duck comic book). He did an AMAZING job!!!

(my avatar will change again once we go through our pics...I found a perfect one!)

For D23 members planning on being in the WDW area October 16-17, the Sip n' Stroll event is taking place...

It seems like a pretty sweet event (despite the hefty price tag that doesn't include park admission)

Tell me about it...at least when they first started doing these events, it may have had a hefty price tag, but park admission was included. (sometimes a 2-day admission depending on the event)
It seems as though enough members who already had park admission via Annual Passes complained about it and so D23 stopped including park admission to these events, but didn't drop the price too much...maybe $50. So now if there are any members who wish to attend and don't have an AP, they have to pay out the nose....

Yeah, so far I am not missing my D23 membership much. I'm a little sad I won't have my charter member status, but that's about it.

I did the lower level of D23, where you dont get the magazine. So far besides the couple of cool things you get in your welcome packet, I haven't done anything with it.
I live 8 hours away from WDW so I cant make any events there, and I have never been to DL. So I am not sure if it is worth it. I am still trying to decide if I am going to renew it or not. There are some things online but not sure if its worth it for those few items...
