Are you 23?

I live 8 hours away from WDW so I cant make any events there, and I have never been to DL. So I am not sure if it is worth it. I am still trying to decide if I am going to renew it or not. There are some things online but not sure if its worth it for those few items...
I decided against renewing because it just didn't seem worth it to me. I never really looked at the magazine, but I would want those if I was still a member, yeah, I appreciate the irony
I figure if I ever move closer to one of the parks, or see a D23 offering I truly want to take advantage of, then I can sign back up. Until then, I don't seem to be missing much...

Yeah, that is kinda how I am feeling too. I feel bad because I really do wanna be a D23 member, but if it doesn't have a benefit there is no reason to spend the money.. :(

Back when there was a Disney magazine ~ that was pretty nice. If the D23 magazines were more like that I might be more inclined to re-subscribe. But probably not. It's just too much money :(

Since moving, I can forsee D23 no longer being a great advantage. However, we will most likely keep it since we still have charter member status, and we want to keep that for Expo purposes. We shall see what happens after the next expo though....
I think in the back of my mind I would like to hang in there for the first 5 years to see where the club goes. They seem to be taking a step forward by attempting to have events in other parts of the country, but also taking a step back by increasing prices of events and the expo was nightmarish...

Time will tell...for now, we are proud members.

I am glad to see more discounts, but you would think there would be more park-related discounts...

Being 800+ miles away from WDW (and needing to plan trips in advance, and only 1x per year, if that often) and never having been to DL, D23 would be pretty useless to me if not for the magazine. I enjoy the magazine very much, and it was too much of a hassle to try and track down the first 3 mags in stores before they sold out (never could find the HM issue). I've been a member since the end of 2009 because of that. Never bought any of the special merch though.

If I didn't like the magazine, I wouldn't join. Just wouldn't make any sense for me personally. It came about at a good time though; WDCC's membership program stopped, so at least I didn't have two membership fees in one year, and I also didn't feel totally "Disney group-less!" :donald:

D23 is going to hold a contest in honor of its 3rd anniversary. It sounds like it is open to all Disney fans, and not just D23 members.

So those of you on twitter, get ready...

Of course! We've been to the other 2...might as well keep the tradition going. I'm curious to see if they fix some of the issues as well...

Goody ~ then we can live vicariously through you and your photos! :D
I do hope they have fixed some of the problems so the experience is a little more enjoyable for you!
