space mountain in meet the robinsons

Post by brye » Dec Tue 23, 2008 12:44 pm

i'm sure this is old news, but i didn't see anything about it when i searched.

the movie meet the robinsons, when they go to the future, the town is called "todayland" and they fly past a building that looks exactly like space mountain.

it's pretty neat, if you haven't seen it, check it out!

I still have yet to see this movie. This is one of a few Disney movies I haven't seen yet but I have seen previews about their version of Tomorrowland. I thought it was hilarious.

I love that movie. I love its unabashed, totally un-ironic optimism about the future, and at the end when the Walt Disney quote appears on the screen, it honestly brought a tear to my eye.

But yeah, I love the Space Mountain cameo, as well as the old-school StarJets.

Star Jets? I've never heard that name before. I always called them Rocket Jets.

Meet the Robinsons is such a cool, under-rated movie. It's kind of like Emperor's New Groove with the quirky sense of humor that gave it little touches like this. It's really a shame it didn't do better.

I, too, felt that Meet The Robinsons was underrated. I thought that the animation was almost on-par with Pixar, and loved the little jokes they threw in.

I never noticed the Space Mountain. But I always thought the todayland marquee was hilarious. None of my friends got it though.... :(

I watched it the other day, and was like OH THERE IT IS. I remember seeing it now. Guess I just need a refresher course once in awhile :D
It was a really cute movie, I enjoy it every time I watch it.

I noticed Space Mountain and the rocket jets the first time I watched the movie. I thought that was so awesome and laughed. I thought it was a pretty good movie and bought the Blu-Ray. It looks amazing in HD.
