Bolt
Ok, to be completely honest I saw the Bolt preview and thought it was yet another Disney movie I wouldn't care to see. Then to my shock, the Minneapolis Star Tribune gave it 3.5/4 stars. Rotten Tomatoes gave it 85% positive, way better than others opening this weekend.
Edit: Even Jim Hill is excited about this one!

I think it looks pretty good based off the previews ive seen so far. The characters look like theyd be pretty funny and the hamster looks very amusing. I might wait until it comes out to dvd to see this though.

You know I really don't know much about this movie. I learned about it through the mass marketing of it's products such as video games and an app available in the itunes store and as a result of that I haven't even been interested to learn about it. I really wish that they would focus on marketing the movie itself instead of the spin off products.
I'll probably wait for it to come out on video and if my daughter asks to rent it then we will watch it.

My thought to that is "Ack! Maybe I shouldn't go after all."Esmeralda wrote:Edit: Even Jim Hill is excited about this one!

I think it looks cute, and we probably will end up going to see it. I have a sneaking suspicion all the cute hamster stuff is in the previews though, and that's really the part that interests me. I'm leery of the fact they've been advertising who's doing the voices more than they have the story.

I am more interested to see this movie than the last 2 disney films (Robinsons and Chicken Little) so I will probably see it in the theaters within' the next month.
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

Okay, I got back from seeing Bolt in 3-D and to be honest, I should have gone for the regular version. The 3-D glasses gave me such a headache. But the movie was very cute and I didn't think that it would be that great but I loved it. I can't stand Miley Cyrus but she wasn't in the movie that much so that was a plus. The movie was very cute because it was basically a little road trip type of movie with Bolt, the cat and the hamster and it sure didn't disappoint.
I do recommend it since it really was such a great movie and to all sorts of dog lovers (and cat and hamster lovers too). There were many cute scenes with Bolt and the hamster was very worth it. He sure didn't disappoint at all. But if you do go see it, I would advise you to see it in the regular version, not the the 3-D version unless you want a headache with the 3-D glasses.

saw it today. very enjoyable movie. the hamster was the bomb. he was very entertaining. i also saw the movie in 3d and i thought it def added to the movie. 3d technology has certainly improved since the red and blue glasses. if you can handle any of the park attractions that involve 3d then bolt shouldnt give you any problems, but it is def worth the extra 2 bucks i paid for it. artwork was very good, and there was a humerous pixar joke near the end. i would recomend it.
