The Muppets Wizard Of Oz

Post by MetalRage » Oct Wed 08, 2008 7:24 pm

I was flipping through the channels and found The Muppet's Wizard Of Oz is on The Disney Channel right now. I was wondering who has seen it and who likes it? I never saw it until now so i was wondering what everyone thinks of it?

I love the Muppets and I love the Wizard of Oz but I did not care for Ashanti as Dorothy. She bothers me but there were a few little bits and pieces that were interesting to me.

In my opinion the only classic remake that was done well by the Muppets was Muppet Christmas Carol. Other than that they really haven't hit the mark for me.....

My DH found it too last night! I'm not a huge Wizard of Oz fan to begin with, I watched parts of it, I thought it was just o.k.

Our daughter has had this movie for a year, and we watched it several times when she first got. We also watched it last night.

I think it's a cute interpretation of the original. Most important, though, is my DD8 loves it. I'm thankful that she identifies with the muppets through movies like this and Muppets Christmas Carol. I recently bought the original Muppet Movie, and both of our kids found it boring (can you believe that?!?!).

So, I'm glad she likes the Muppets Wizard of OZ. At least she likes the muppets (and will tolerate another trip to MuppetVision 3D with her Dad this spring).

I am a HUGE muppet fan, I even like Muppet Treasure Island, and I thought the Wizard of Oz was ok. I was really kind of disappointed in it but I couldn't really tell you how it could of been better. I am glad that there are people who did like it though.

You should buy Muppets Christmas Carol MetalRage! That's a definate must own!!! Beaker is too funny in this. Maybe it's just me....but I believe Beaker flips off Mr. Schrooge. It's the scene where him and Mr. Bunson go and ask Mr. Schrooge for a donation! Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? Sorry for getting a little off topic.
