The Disney Club
While I was cleaning out my desk at home I discovered an old Disney Club card from back in 2002. I remember getting the card and a magazine I think every quarter. Does anyone know why they stopped the Disney Club?

I'm not sure if this was part of Disney Adventures magazine, but the publication was cancelled last year. They've since switched all subscriptions, etc. over to Family Fun Magazinebbowen13 wrote:While I was cleaning out my desk at home I discovered an old Disney Club card from back in 2002. Re: The Disney Club
I gave a subsciption of Disney Adventures magazine to my daughter. Even paid accouple years in advance. Next thing I know it's canceled. Instead of a refund, they bagain sending me The Boys Club. I e-mailed them. tell'n them I wanted my money back, that I didn't authorized this change to my account. I recieved a reply. After the next issue is released, I would get a refund for the remaining amount. NOT FAIR. Why do I have to pay for the copies that I never ordered. Same thing happened when the Disney Magazine went under. I paid for accouple of years in advance, and the same story as above.danimal3114u wrote:I'm not sure if this was part of Disney Adventures magazine, but the publication was cancelled last year. I loved these magazines. I looked forward to getting my issues.
I would put the Disney Magazine on the EXF machine at the gym and read it. It was a great conversation starter. People who had never gone, and were going, would asked me questions. People who had would smile, stop and talk.

I, too, used to look forward to the magazines when they came. All I can say is I know my kids would love them now...ericpabear wrote:

To do the improbable, we first have to dream the impossible.

My family had that. I remember that used to get you a discount at some Disney places like the World of Disney. I think that was discontinued in 2000. It was replaced by the Disney Club.casrin wrote:The Magic Kingdom Club, bbowen13?

Disney Club replaced Magic Kingdom Club. As far as I understood (I was told when I asked why I couldn't renew my DC membership), Disney Club ended when the Disney Visa was introduced because they wanted people to sign up for that instead. I remember that 'cause I asked what I was supposed to do in Candaa, since there was no bank affiliate for the Disney Visa there (and as far as I know there still isn't) and they said they were 'working on that'.

I understand why they got rid of the card but the magazine was always something to look forward to. I wish they still make that. However I do get the Disney Insider by email so I guess that fills some of the void.DisBeamer wrote:Disney Club replaced Magic Kingdom Club.
