So I was reading this awesome article yesterday about how an ex-Jack Sparrow working at DL got fired for disobeying Disney rules and regulations. Stuff like a photo of him and ariel kissing backstage in costume and stuff. YIKES!

Check it out: http://www.d-cot.com/an-ex-jack-sparrow-talks.html

Wow that was an interesting story. I agree with MakuOni who knew Disney was actually like that? WOW

Interesting behind the scenes glimpse of being a face character at Disney. Personally, I like how Disney has rules to preserve the magic.

Good read, but I agree with Calypso if Disney did not have rules like that then it would not be the Disney that we all love. :mickey:

With rules like that, it's a wonder more cast members aren't miserable. Sounds like these people need permission to pass gas for fear of being fired.

passing gas should be a firing offence. Stinky is not one of the 7 Dwarves

Maybe not, but in "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 2" Stinky could certainly be added. At least we know it would be done in 3-D for IMAX screens... :)

Sounds like Jack Sparrow is getting more action than Fantasyland at MK on a Saturday afternoon!

I will never forget seeing Cinderella smoking during our Keys to the Kingdom Tour. What goes on behind the walls and in the Utilidoors is one thing but we have to stay in character in front of guests. The moment that those rules are relaxed then Disney just becomes a regular theme park or cheap carnival.

The guy should have known that they were going to be strict on him, he made it seem like Disney was at fault here. Disney runs on reputation, and any time someone threatens it by the slightest bit, they will cut ties instantly.

Omg, that so strange. I was considering of working at Disney and this has opened my eyes. I love Disney though and I can tell that he wasn't working by the rules.
