This is what I dreamt last night.
I was consulting for WDI, it seemed, and re-experiencing the original Journey into Imagination. They were trying to justify to me that it was "corny" and that was why the attraction had needed updating. I had a notebook in which I'd been jotting down my impressions and ideas. I kept trying to show the Imagineers that the original attraction could be accomplished with new, updated technology so that guests would be happier with JII since many aren't too thrilled with the way it was changed. I even had detailed examples of how to do it!
Next, I was at the Haunted Mansion though it was more Old West styled like Disneyland Paris' Phantom Manor. I'd marked down that I liked the headless characters that walked around, looking like Old West townspeople who'd met the Headless Horsemen. Heh. But they'd changed the attraction to loosely fit that western theme... only it made no sense! Instead of Audio-Animatronics, there were live actors and the script they followed was very loosely centered around the maniac who'd beheaded townspeople coming into the Haunted Mansion (which had become a barn on the interior, complete with live chickens and fresh hay). However, the live actors' script largely depended on cues from the guests who were riding by in Doom Buggies and/or sitting in theatre-style seating. I kept telling the Imagineers that the outdoor characters were great, but the attraction's story made no sense at all.

Or maybe tacos?
I've had weird dreams about changes to the Haunted Mansion before but never ones involving livestock. I love Disney park dreams. Even the bizarre ones. =)

I blame it on the Old Epcot vs. New Epcot. I'd read it just before going to bed; maybe that's where the dream came from!

ha, interesting to see i'm not the only one who dreams about WDW.
the thing is, whenever i dream about wdw it's AWFUL. like, the park has become really worn down and all of the good rides are gone. also, instead of awesome hotel rooms there are just trailers and dilapidated garage-looking rooms to stay in. basically, it looks like a great adventure that's been abandoned for 5 years (then again, don't most great adventures look like that anyway? lol

)
i don't know why i dream of wdw like that. i guess my mind at the time just didn't want me to have a good dream, yet disney was on my mind so that's what it had to work with

Ack, that's awful, Stitch!
I had another dream about JII last night. This time, I was in the scene (for the original attraction) where Figment is dressed up for the stage and Dreamfinder's voice is overheard as they sing about "some happy songs / some snappy dances / costumes and sets..."
In the dream, I was with Tony Baxter (the WDI guy in charge of JII) and he was being interviewed by some people who were analyzing the lyrics like it was indeed high-brow poetry.

They were saying that since Figment sings about "some snappy dances" and emphasizes dances so much, it was very pro-feminine movement or something.
Where do I get this stuff in my sleep?!?!?

It's a relief to find out that I'm not the only one that has had weird wdw dreams. I don't think I've had anything as weird as that HM though. It's funny how you were checking up on jii also.
Just after the 1999 jii renovation I had a similar dream where th imagineers hired me to fix it. I made all the plans and blueprints and whatnot, but when I got to the imagineering headquarters I woke up.
This is similar to my normal wdw dreams where I can walk around the parks, and wait in the queues, but as son as it's my turn to get on the ride, I wake up.
