Classic Disney Television

I'm sorry if there's a thread for this already, but listening to SubsonicRadio, I started wondering why Disney hasn't done something along the lines of the "Boomerang" network that plays old Warner Brothers/Hanna Barbara cartoons?
I know they have ToonDisney- and that channel will play some of their older shows, but I'd love to see a Classics Disney channel. I love the older Disney cartoons and shows more than these newer ones(I speak mostly of 1983 and on, since I wasn't born earlier to see some of the more classic television).
I understand the generation has changed, and kids aren't how they were in the 80's, or the 70's, 60's and so on. It might just be me, but I feel like a LOT of Disney cartoons and programming these days strays a little too far from what I think of with Disney- but I know that's a "today" thing(as I mentioned earlier).
Does anyone have a classic cartoon or television show from Disney they like? Does anyone else feel Disney should have a classic channel?
(Apologies if this thread is a generic thread that's already been done!)

I would definitely love it. My history class showed an episode of Zorro once and I wanted to get a chance to watch more and to see the original Mickey Mouse Club. I was only around for the one with Britney Spears.

I loved those... I have to give YouTube for helping me to see certain things before my time. I watch Walt Disney's EPCOT video a lot. I wonder how that would have worked out..
I also love the specials they'd do in the park- ESPECIALLY the ones from the 80's. I wish there'd be more in-park specials : \

Absolutely!
I grew up on Aladdin, Darkwing Duck, Tailspin, and Ducktails.
Its a shame Toon Disney doesn't show these anymore.

Oh my gosh yes!!!!!!!
I miss Darkwing Duck, TailSpin, DuckTales, Gummi Bears, Mickey Mouse Club and all the little cartoon shows that that were on at like 6 in the morning when I was getting ready for school I would watch a little mickey or Donald cartoon. Oh and I couldn't forget like my favorite show from my favorite movie Adventures In Wonderland. I was addicted to that show. Ahhh can you tell I loved old Disney?

This is something I've always wished for. The modern Disney Channel really doesn't feel Disney at all. They need to pay tribute to the Disney masterpieces!

The Vault Disney show was great.
The cynic in me thinks that Disney is worried that people will find out that they used to make non-crappy programming.
The more likely response is that they've decided to target tweens at the expense of all other viewers, because they think that's the best way to make money. I think it's shrinking the customer base as time goes by (and Disney becomes tied to a very specific demographic that you can grow out of), but what do I know?

I remember watching with my kids -- they loved Tailspin, Darkwing Duck and DuckTales (Duck Tales , woo ooh). There was also an animated Mighty Ducks one that they really liked. I enjoyed watching the Avonlea series that they did and we loved watching JD and Bree (I think that was her name) in the series that was all about the parks and behind the scenes ... can't remember the name of it right now. I know I have the 25th Anniversary of WDW episode on a VHS tape somewhere in my house. There was also a time when they had more Disney Channel Original Movies that were a lot of fun to watch. And why do they think that we all want to see Halloweentown so much?? Vault Disney was terrific, too!
