Who all thinks there should be a 4th Pirates movie?

After watching the 3rd Pirates of the Caribbean movie, yet again, I can't help but notice, how it ends very similarly to the ending of the 1st movie, by Jack singing --"and really bad eggs, drink up me hearties yo-ho" while looking at his compass, pointing outward. It looks like it to me, how about you? I think there should be one!!

I'm not sure if there would be one. The end of the third did show it ten years later when Will returned to Elizabeth and their son. It's possible that there might be one but I'm not keeping my hopes up just yet.

There is already a lot of talk about another one. And another one featuring Captain Jack and Barbosa only. No Wil or Elizabeth.
I personally don't think there should be another. Heck I think they should have stopped after the first one because I was so disappointed with the second, and then was really devestated by the last one. Just my opinion.

I'm sorta surprised there isn't a Disney Channel Pirates Cartoon. Just because they "killed off" Will and Elizabeth. It's Capt Jack that is there real cash cow in the series.
So I wouldn't be shocked if there was another one. But I would be shocked if it was a good as this series. Rumor is that Disney only wanted to do one, and it was Jerry that INSISTED on getting a 3 movie binder from the stars of the movie.
That movie wasn't another
Haunted Mansion film because of Jerry Bruckheimer(Producer) and Gore Verbinski(DIrector).
And don't even get me started on the Country Bears Film.

I know that Bloom and Knightly wanted out of the series, thats why they wrote them out. As for another Pirates movie I think Disney will run this into the ground to see what they can get out of it. even though I didn't like the third one I still went to see it twice, bought the DVD, and bought it for my Archos so I don't see Disney giving up on the movies.

There is considerable speculation as to a 2012 release of PoC4, and possibly Tim Burton being involved. The passing time would advance the search for the Fountain of Youth to a more historical period in America, and allow for the 4th to focus solely on Barbossa & Sparrow FINALLY coming to Florida...Not a bad marketing idea....Maybe Tim Burton could direct....?

Neither of the sequels lived up to anything close to the first one. But, I did like the third film much more than I did the second.
Anyway, I would be SHOCKED if they didn't make a fourth film and, like Ravenscroft said, milk it for all it's worth. Especially considering how much Johnny Depp was going on about wanting to do another one.

I have heard this rumor as well. I hope they make one, I liked all 3. The third was a bit wierd, but i like that stuff.

i know this is gonna sound weird, but i actually like the 2nd and 3rd one better than the 1st. Jack seems to act differently, sort of funnier... etc, which is great b/c i liked it. maybe its just because through the 2nd and 3rd, we got to know the character. and i saw on an interview, that Johnny Depp said he wouldnt mind being Jack again. I would be ecstatic. i know there was a 10-years later part, but it didnt concern Captain Jack and the fountain of youth or anyone but Will and Elizabeth. Why dont they want to do another? Who wouldnt wanna work with Johnny Depp?

But if they do another one with Jack and Barbosa coming to Florida, is the film really still considered Pirates of the Caribbean?

They should at least start it when the third one ends where Jack's going to find the Fountain of Youth. That'd be something funny to see, him and Barbossa fighting for it.

Well remember the 3rd one started in Singapore, so as long as they end up in the Caribbean at some point you can still call it that.

I would like to see another one, but I don't want to see Disney beat this into the ground. Right now, its wildly popular and Disney is capitalizing on it. If they continue to flood the market, especially with movies that don't live up to their predecessors, interest will drop and there goes the whole boys' section at the World of Disney in DD, and so on. I bet they cool their heels for a while, maybe search for a script worth the risk, and see if the interest continues.

I feel no matter where the pirates are they will always be "pirates of the caribbean", since that is where they originated from. I may move from florida one day, but i will always be jarett from/of Florida.
