For me this was a no brainer as I picked Wave 3. I bought every single dvd that came out for that particular group. The long lost WWII cartoons. The second batch of Mickey Mouse color cartoons. The first batch of Donald Cartoons. And of course the Tomorrowland disc which might be my favorite of my whole collection. I did like Wave 2 second best as Goofy is probably my favorite character. But Wave 3 had more to offer. I never picked up the Silly Symphonies simply because they just don't do much for me. I have a copy of a Davy Crockett dvd that was released and figured that was good enough for me. The others I just didn't have an interest in. As it stands my collection looks like this:

We have the first three in Wave One, so I'll have to say that would be my favorite. I didn't know they made more! Disneyland: The Secrets, Stories and Magic sounds interesting. I'll have to look out for that.

Had to vote for wave two as I own all of those. Can't beat the old 'Goofy tries out various sports' cartoons. *insert Goofy's falling off a mountain cry here*

Though I love Tomorrowland from wave three. My husband and I love to watch the man holding the chunk of ... uranium? I think? Whatever radioactive material he's holding to demonstrate the Geiger counter. Holding it with his bare hands. Morbidly fascinating. I hope they got that in one take and he wasn't holding it all day...

With Silly Symphonies, Mickey, and, in my opinion, the crown jewel of the whole collection--Disneyland, USA--I am all about the initial wave of DVDs. Not a huge Davy Crockett fan though

I picked Wave 5 because of The Adventures of Spin & Marty from The Mickey Mouse Club. My husband used to stay up at night to watch "Vault Disney" (sure do wish they would bring that back, by the way) so that he could see the old Mickey Mouse Club and see the snippets of Spin and Marty. I was so excited when I saw that it was coming out on DVD! I surprised him with it for Christmas, it was so cool, he had no idea it was out!

He is also a big Goofy fan so my parents bought that one for him.

Oh My god. Vault Disney is my favorite stretch of TV ever. I used to fall asleep to it almost every night. I loved Zorro, and thenk would stay up until the start of the Walt Disney presents, and then fall asleep during that. I miss it so much, and have signed the petition for it.

I have "Mickey Mouse in Living Color" and "Disneyland, USA" and really enjoy them. My granddaughters ask for "Mickey" nearly every time they come over.

I didn't know that most of the others even existed!

I just got online and ordered "Disney Rarities: Celebrated Shorts, 1920s - 1960s", "Tomorrow Land", and "The Hardy Boys: The Applegate Mystery ".

I remember running home from school so I wouldn't miss the next episode of the "Applegate Mystery" (tells you how old I am!) I can't wait to see it again, 50 years later. I hope my grandkids are as thrilled by it as I was. Sometimes, kids seem to be more sophisticated today, and aren't as readily entertained and stimulated by good, solid, storytelling. But, I'm often surprised! I'll bet the young folks will love the "Applegate Mystery."
I'm excited to have shorts like "Toot, Whistle, Plunk...Boom!" and "Paul Bunyan" in my library.

I have the Walt Disney: On The Front Lines and find it really fascinating. some of the propoganda shorts they produced in the late 30s - mid 40s are just amazing that Disney dared to go THAT far doing his cartoons.

I haven't seen this in a while, so I think I may watch it tonight before bed...
