Looks like Disney is continuing to make movies based of attractions.

Jungle Cruise Movie

Lets hope its like Pirates, and not like The Country Bears.

I do hope they make a good one. They can make a great comedy, but if they try and make it serious, it'll tank.

Ooooh, see I disagree. Trying to make a comedy after the Jungle Cruise won't work, in my opinion, because the humor in the ride is its kitschy feel, self-deprecation and self-awareness, and its nostalgia factor. Try sticking that up on the silver screen... it won't work.

Now, if they make an action-adventure with some humorous parts, then perhaps. Remember, Disney almost always tried to make comedies off their rides... Haunted Mansion, Country Bears, etc... until Pirates, which, while it had funny parts, was action/adventure of the first rate variety, and became immensely popular.

What we need for a Jungle Cruise movie is part Romancing the Stone, part Indiana Jones and part The Ghost and the Darkness (please, Disney, give it an edge!)... that will work like gangbusters, I think.

I see what you mean. When I say 'comedy', I mean more in the way you speak rather than slap-stick bathroom humor. Make the movie an action-adventure movie, but I would imagine it should have more humor in it than Pirates.

I have a bad feeling about this one. Hopefully it will be better than Haunted Mansion. Can't be worse than Country Bears.

If they try and make it straight up action adventure they have to try and live up to the 'African Queen'... Better to make it an adventure/comedy along the lines of 'The Mummy' which I think really had the pre-WW1 Africa feel.
