lets play around with the Magic Kingdom first. then expand to the other areas.

Since Pirates taking over Adventureland, Tom Sawyer Island etc. is a recent topic...lets offer up some other changes. I'll add the first one then if we can have each person add 1 to the mix. lets see what a Subsonic Forum Reality World would look like. who knows...some dreams do come true. laugh

Haunted Mansion: Change to Debt Mansion.

starting off this ride introduces you to your first Credit Card and the ease of getting all the things you want instantly rather than saving for them. you hop in your leased doom buggy which only pays interest and none of the actual principle. you start the ride enjoying luxery but soon....horror looms as the doors knock, clocks spin and then your sitting at a debt councilers table (which looks similar to the madam, and her crystal ball) i could fill in with much more but i'll leave it to anyone else that has some humor to add. perhaps at the end...when you look in the mirrors' you see an IRS agent with a notice of audit.....

How about Tomorrowland Speedway: Tomorrowland Freeway.

It's slogan could be "And you thought being stuck in line took up a lot of time!" You could have the cars start off with clear lanes, and then suddenly have cars pop up on the track (via boards that lay flat on the track otherwise) that keep you from going. Then suddenly, they lay flat, but more pop up after a few feet. After about an hour of this you see the station end. It seems all clear, but then an accident to the side of you causes the cars to pop up again. It's another half hour before you reach the station.

Well, appropriate in that its not futuristic and more of today's reality - which is quite comparable to other attractions in the Tomorrowland area.

Yes, but I also wanted to be supportive of the grid lock topia concept.
I think it would do very well as an Autopia replacement.

That is hilarious. you two need to open a thread called "point and counterpoint and then point" or maybe we could call it "running with blunt tipped scissors".

Lets move along now to Mickey's Toon Town. which we could call Mikes Trailer Park. we could even put an exit off of Grid-Locktopia and unlikely guests that make this wrong exit can be harrassed by window washers, flower vendors and newspaper salespeople. Only during the year of a million dreams will lucky guests get carjacked and lose their vehicles forcing them to traverse the seedy streets of Mikes Trailer Park.

Croaker, I love the Mike's Trailer Park idea! And you and JWG came up with a better name for my idea: Grid-Locktopia.

See this is perfect... the tying of two new attractions together. Not only that, you've now added Pixar into the mix which is absolutely on par with new WDW theming.

I think I see future Imagineers in the making! :o

anyone want to take on fantasy land?

If Mr. Toad were still around in MK, that would be a bit of reality. I mean, if you steal a car, you will get sentenced. Then if you try to escape and get hit by a train you will die. Although the ending could be up for debate on reality depending on your afterlife views.

With all that said, I'll be thinking of something for Fantasyland. I'd love to tackle something there.

I think it would be fun to see Small World where all the other countries still look the same but they sing in English the entire time and have random US soldiers in every country. Plus McDonald's needs to have its Arches added to all the countries.

Maybe a Jungle Cruise where there are no animals and the attraction is swamped with mosquitoes.

Jungle Snooze.

Great idea BuDz211, perhaps we could call it "Canoe Cruise through the Pine Barrens of New Jersey" hosted by the Leeds family of South Jersey. like the Yeti of Everest we have a Giant Jersey Devil at the end. the mosquitoes would be a fitting ambiance to the ride. i'm sure rdeacon could add to this.
