Ratatouille

Post by Esmeralda » May Sun 06, 2007 10:23 am

From the early previews of this one I was a bit nervous. A movie about a rat and food? Sounds scary. I watched the 9 minute preview, and actually it looks like an excellent story. I think showing 9 minutes of the movie before it even comes out is a bit much though.

Anyhow, what are are people's thoughts on Ratatouille? Another success for Pixar animation?

Being that it is a "Disney" movie, I will go see it. It doesn't seem to be a very interesting topic, but it may be entertaining. There have been a couple movies from "Disney" that turned out to be very good, when they looked like flops. (And when it makes it to DVD, I will add it to the collection.)

This is a movie I can't make up my mind on. I guess I will wait to hear a few reviews before I spend the $$ on this one.

I think it will be a huge hit.

For some reason it has a dreamworks-look to it. That's probably just me though.

I have seen 2 trailers, the one looks good the other not so. I'll watch and hope for the best.

Two words... Brad Bird

It's a hit for sure! Bank on it. And the animation looks absolutely brilliant! It's without a doubt the most fluid looking CG I've seen. Beats the heck out of Shreck's stiff, video game looking animation any day.

OK, that was more than two words... sorry!

Ratatouille received 4/4 stars in the Minneapolis Star Tribune - a rare thing around here! They gave it a smashing review. Can't wait to see this one for myself.

Anyone seen it yet?

I think it looks great. I don't know if I'll see it in the theater because I just can't pay that much for movies anymore, but I'll see it someday!

I'm actually really excited about this one - first time I can say that about a Disney movie in quite a while (Pirates notwithstanding). I've been trying not to 'hype' it too much to myself but the more I see of the previews (and now, reviews) the more excited I am to see it. I'm hoping to go on Sunday.

Took the kids to see it yesterday and it was outstanding! The theatre was packed at the 12:45 pm show and there where huge lines for the subsequent showings when our theatre released.

It's got a great story and fabulous animation. My kids loved it and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I liked the movie. However I kept thinking in the back of my mind what are they going to change at the park to fit this one in..... The only thing I could think of was the restaurant in France at EPCOT.

Once I see more people like it, I'll go see it. If not, I'll wait for video.
