Mouseplanet.com has a nice article on Iger's 1 year anniversary with the company....

So far I think he has done a pretty good job mopping up Eisner's mess. I an generally pleased with his work so far.

Any thoughts....

They really held onto Eisner for way too long, hopefully Iger will bring Disney back to the 90's greatness.

90s greatness? in the 90s, they got rid of some classic, beloved attractions at the parks in WDW, and they conceived of DCA at DLR. We're still missing the beloved attractions at WDW, and from what I hear DCA is just really starting to come to life. about the only thing that was great in the 90s was the feature length animations (lion king, aladdin, etc).

Yeah I think you need to define 90's greatness. IF you mean overall company growth, and some great movies...I would agree, but the theme parks did suffer.

Yep.. Old school 80's Disney Fan.. At least park wise. When Communicore, horizons, world of motion, 20,000 Leagues under the sea, and Mr Toads still existed.

sure, they were open in the 90s, but that's also when they closed forever. all during Eisner's reign. also, what about those of us who couldn't go to any of the parks during the 90s? we may have been able to experience the attractions in the 80s, but some of us may not remember (I, for one, was born in 1980, first trip in 1982 and again in 1986. I don't remember every detail from when I was that young).
