Do you prefer the old, classic Disney animated movies or the new high-tech Pixar flicks?
While I think the Pixar movies are a marvel, I love the classic animation knowing it was done by hand.

Disney hasn't done a decent animated flick since 1999's Tarzan (actually my favorite Disney animated movie). I'll take a Pixar movie any day over the garbage that Disney animation has put out since 2000.

Agreed.
I couldn't vote honestly. They both have their similarities and their differences. For me it's bascially the same things, just using different tools. I mean Pixar animators are still using their hands. They still need to create all the characters, locations, props etc by hand before any of it goes into the computer just the same way classic animation does. And just like classic animation Pixar builds their movies from the ground up. For me the biggest factor is the story and right now Pixar is it. All the movies they have put out have been entertaining for both adults and childeren which is a feat unto itself

I picked the classics. Nothing beats the old vintage Disney.... Bambi, Dumbo, Snow White, Cinderella, etc. But then I am nostalogic that way

I like them both...... Disney needs to give some GOOD storylines to the classic animators..... hasn't been anything REALLY awesome since Lion King...

This was tuff for me because I love both. I voted for Classic Animation. The stories are probably what gets me the most about Classic Animation.

I voted for "classic" and I mean "classic"...not the recent conventionally animated Disney movies, most of which I haven't even seen.
One interesting thing...have you noticed that Pixar movies are typically about "adults", whereas Disney movies are usually about orphans or children of single parents? I think that's why Pixar movies are more appealing to adults, and thus rake in more dough.
(Well, that and the superior stories, writing, directing, etc.)

I think we should give Igor a chance here. I mean he did close the deal to bring in Pixar. Now I think Jobs would do an awesome job, but Igor just may do an Awesome job too.

I disagree, Roy closed the deal with Pixar. From everything I've been reading about what's been going on, Pixar won't sign with Disney unless Eisner was gone and Disney was back (Roy). I know I'm a little harsh, but I believe Igor is just an Eisner puppet!!
Lets remember Igor got his job for running ABC into the ground, His promotion to the head of Disney was just another part of Eisner's burnt ground policy!!! The only chance Igor should get is with another company!!
Like maybe McDonalds or Wendy's.

I think everyone should vote for classic films over Pixar. Although I love their films they will never take away the magic Walt graced with his films.

I voted for the classic, but I must admit I really like the computer animated stuff too. They really are so different and CA is the wave of the future. It's almost like Color taking over B/W.
As for those of you that think Steve Jobs is the future. He tried to sell off the animation part of Pixar and just keep the computer rendering software. Doesn't sound like a guy sold on the creative part of a company. It was just his dumb luck that he didn't have any buyers back then!!

I would have to say both as well.
