Haunted Mansion Comic
Anyone else collecting the Haunted Mansion comic book series? What do you think of them so far? I'm not a comic book guy, but I love this series and plan on collecting them all - though each issue keeps getting its release date delayed a month...

Ah, there we go. Didn't look before. Very nice
Most of the stories are great (a couple duds, but with so many stories in each issue it's definitely worth it). I just really wish they'd come out every month so I could read new ones more often...

Yeah my dad and my sister are collecting them! They're pretty cool things! But some of the comics are random, and i don't like that part of it.rudekick wrote:Anyone else collecting the Haunted Mansion comic book series? What do you think of them so far? That's like saying that the Batman or Spiderman comic books should follow the movies, and no new plots thought out. Or on that same token, that the movie should follow the books (or rides, as the case may be). People get bored with the same thing over and over. New things are needed to liven things up a bit (just look at any of the disney parks as an example - new rides/attractions built all the time, yet keeping the spirit of the original with every passing day). Variety is the spice of life, as they sayJwc247 wrote: Yeah my dad and my sister are collecting them! They're pretty cool things! It's based solely on the ride and told from the perspective of the ghosts. Which should've been the case with the movie a few years ago.rickeisenstein wrote:I'll have to check out those comics. I love the Haunted Mansion video game. Are the comics related?

I'm glad the comic got it right.

I have to disagree with js3901. It's not like saying Batman comics should follow the movies. Batman comics came first. So it's like saying Batman MOVIES should follow the comics - which which essentially happens. I enjoy the occasional spin-off, and I do think that most of the HM comic so far has been loyal to the ride, but every so often they are sort of out of left field. I hope they remain true to the ride,js3901 wrote:That's like saying that the Batman or Spiderman comic books should follow the movies, and no new plots thought out.
