And the music? I still haven't heard anything about the soundtrack - good, not good? People, people, we are on a Disney music-based forum here - what about the tunes? :mickey:

It's Danny Elfman (what Tim Burton film doesn't have an Elfman score?), but it's more like an action film score than anything else. Elfman has written some great scores over the years and this one was good, but not among his greatest. You would have expected with "wonderland" in the title it would have some "whismy" to the score. What does everyone else thing?

I wouldn't bother with the soundtrack. The bands and artists aren't that great. Stick with the original score and you'll be good.

The soundtrack is forgettable. Not bad, but nothing that you will be humming afterwards. Not a usual comment for an Elfman.

I saw it on Saturday.

The film itself was very good, but not great, as Mindflipper says there are a few major characters missing. I did like the way he managed to bring both worlds together with the characters in Alice's last speech.

Just in case anyone bothers there is nothing at the end of the credits, we sat the whole way to the end. I did like the end credit surround growing though.

I went for 2D this weekend - on recommendation from you folks. I loved all the colors and costumes and such, so I'm glad we did go with 2D.

I give it two thumbs up! Better than the original for me, it was really nice to actually have a plot, but with lots of the fun craziness and wild characters.

So, why is a raven like a writing desk?

Looks kind of creepy to me. This will be one of few Disney flicks I'll pass on.

It is here and there but then again the whole point of Wonderland is creepy yet magical.

^I agree. Not nearly as creepy as the previews lead one to believe.
