The souvenir buckets keep it fairly fresh. I have quite a collection now! I try to remember to bring one from home, but I don't always.

When I went to the Blue Bayou they had a pork dish that had been marinated in some kind of apple mixture. Darned if I remember anything more about it, but darned too if it wasn't the most mouth-watering food I've ever had there.

Having said that, other foods have more emotional attachment, like churros, chocolate-covered bananas, ice cream waffle cones...man I'm hungry...

I like the cinnamon-sugar churros that are available at the snack carts at the resorts.

I've never quite understanded the Battered Cheese (that'll be weirdest). The frozen lemonade was good and rock hard.

I like the Columbia Harbour House. It is never full and you can go in there to take a break in the middle of the afternoon.

Where's that at? Not like Deep-fat-fried cheese curds is it? That is pretty much a Minnesota-only thing, we love 'em, everyone else thinks we're kinda strange about it...

Oh yeah - Corndog Castle! Love that place, another good deep fried MN staple, the true corn batter ones at the State Fair here are the best. Will have to check out the cheese next time I'm in DCA, thanks for the head's up.

I think I need a picture of that....

Hard to believe they can make a castle out of a corndog.
