Ah-ha! I knew I had read it somewhere! But was there also something about the beads being made in Africa or some other impoverished nation?

Yes, they are made in (I think) Uganda.

Thanks for the links! I wish I would have stopped and looked at them while we were at EPCOT

The prices online don't seem too bad, are they higher at Disney? Silly question I'm sure!

So the magazine is really available at retailers. I wondered since I had read about it being available, but had never looked. 40% off sounds like it would be a little more reasonable...so do you think it is worth the subscription or not?
I was actually surprised to see it at a retail location other than the Disney Store. I honestly have not yet read it but will over the next week or so when I have actual free time on my hands. The 40% was really reasonable but is due to a boarders going out of business sale.

A college student with free time on his hands? Isn't that about as real as the Tooth Fairy?
Sounds like your college professors aren't keeping you busy enough...

Spring break next week and no exam until the Thursday I get back. There is still a lot of work, but it is nothing compared to what I've been doing the past three-four weeks.

I'll race you! We'll see which one of us gets our magazines first!

Moonpet: I got my missing mags in the mail yesterday. The watch that was promised to be mailed with it wasn't there - instead I got some cheap D23 lenticular luggage tag of Chip and Dale.

WHAT!!!!
NOT FAIR!!!!
There was nothing in my mailbox.
The luggage tag is the "member gift," the watch is supposed to be for people who renewed.

When did you contact D23/Disney Store? I contacted them on 2/24, they responded back on 2/25, and received my missing mags on 3/7.

Did you get a watch earlier with no magazine?

Yep, got the watch in the magazine box with no magazine LOL. The DS e-mail did mention the watch, but maybe that was in error and meant the luggage tag. Not that I wanted a second watch anyway, as I don't know what to do with the watch I got.

Oh, I was just curious if they sent the watchin advance of the magazine. Mine came together. I know what you mean. I looked at the watch, decided it was nice, and put it back in the box

It's just not a watch I would want to wear.
