I forgot that there was a short! I haven't heard about it but I'm looking forward to it.

I don't think I will be able to read this thread now until I see the movie. Looks like it will be the day before we leave for WDW when my family and I can get out to see it. I think it can be a great way to get ready for a vacation. Anybody know the runtime on it? I would assume it will be somewhere between 90-100 minutes like the first two.

I looked on Wikipedia and it says the run time for it is 103 minutes.

SPOILER ALERT...

I agree jlpeaches255, I really liked this movie. The eyes may have teared up a bit, but that is because I am a big softy. I REALLY liked how this movie ended despite how it makes you think that it is going to end. We laughed quite a few times, especially at Mr. Potato Head, who steals the show, Hamm, who is always funny and even at Buzz. The kids loved it.

I would spring for the 3D as it really made a few scenes come to life, especially the opening scene, which is awesome. But, the IMAX screen isn't too much different than the regular, so, I would recommend not doing it. The sound quality and definition was amazing though.

I just saw the 3D version tonight and thought 3 was as good as 1. To me, it completed full circle a cycle, and - without giving anything away - left it the ability to start a new cycle. It made me proud of Pixar and Disney that they kept up the quality from the first two films in this film.

Saw it on opening night. What an incredible movie. The best Pixar movie since Finding Nemo.

Just read that TS3 made $41 million on opening day and is well on its way to exceed The Incredibles opening weekend and possibly join Shrek 2 and Shrek The Third with a $100 million opening weekend. Here is hoping!

I have yet to see it but I have plans to on Tuesday. Can't wait!

DH and I saw it last night. We didn't care for the short in the beginning, what did everyone else think?! I mean, clever, but not my favorite.

I did think TS3 was good, we laughed alot, but I didn't care for the ending. I thought it was a real tear jerker!

I enjoyed the short. Thought it was a pretty cool concept.

I think the ending HAD to be a tearjerker. Anything less would have been a disappointment.

Side point....I hope Andy is going to study Child Psychology in college because he has a real gift understanding kids.

We thought the short was cute. I can't say it's my favorite (Geri's Game holds that honor), but it was cute.

I must admit that I fell asleep during part of the movie, but it was medication induced (long story) and kinda out of my hands. But overall, we thoroughly enjoyed it and loved the ending. I did get teary-eyed at a couple of parts, but wanted to jump on one certain character toward the end...that was so out of line!!! (but I do love the payback! :) )
(If you have seen the movie, you should understand that description...I hope!)

I really like the way mindflipper described it. That was the exact same thought we had too!

For those who haven't seen it...it's dark. I wouldn't bring a child under 9 or 10.

I thought the dump incenerator was a bit too intense for very young children. There were kids crying out loud during that part in the theatre when I saw again on Sunday.

The estimated accumulative box office for Toy Story 3 as of the end of this past weekend was $109 million total. That exceeds the revamped Karate Kid (or should that have been Kung-Fu Kid?) with has an accumulative box office of $106 million total as of this past weekend. BTW Karate Kid had its second weekend, whereas Toy Story 3 had its first.
