Maybe they should just re-release African Queen and say "The movie that inspired the Jungle Cruise!"
I really hope they stay away from The African Queen as much as possible. I just can't believe they could ever beat Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn. I worry that it would just come off super cheesy.

I'd love to see The African Queen on the big screen though!

Well, I do hear rumors of a Jungle Cruise movie in the works. If the storyline is good with great effects, interesting characters and several ride references thrown in for good measure, then it has the chance to be the next best thing since 'Pirates'.....but that's what I thought about the Haunted Mansion movie.... OOPS!!

Alright so here's my take: I think that with JC going out and for sure being a movie eh... I doubt we will see near the success of POTC, however, since it's still in pre production who knows? If the cast is great and the script is written with depth and has an interesting plot I will totally go see it :) The entire reason I didn't go see HM and why I was disappointed with it was that the cast was good but the plot line and script that was written was less than the standards I thought Disney should have so if they ever do remake HM and start from scratch I hope it's more intense and less comical :) Cause that ride is supposed to be intense why shouldn't the movie?

As for a BTM movie I can see that, but I'm not sure if they'd use that as the title and I think that you would have to write a complete backstory to that ride, and then sooner or later Disney would come in for renevation and remodeling and reformat everything that is memorable about that ride just because the movie became so popular... not saying that what they did with POTC was a bad thing... just saying that I throughly enjoyed it the old way as well as with the new editions but I would hate to see a ride get defaced by having renevations that are not nessecary done just because of a movie IMO. :)

Ok so that's my rant take it as you will :)
Have a great day
