The patch is the gift that D23 members receive with their magazine...every magazine has a gift. If you were to just purchase the magazine off the stand, there would be no "gift", just the magazine.

Hmmmmm, I need to check the return address on it. Makes me wonder if the mags are distributed from here in Florida because it does appear I got mine before everyone else...

My return address indicates it originates from Kentucky...maybe you just have a super organized mailperson?!

I got it today...I think it is EPCOT? but I don't know for sure. I will have to snap a photo tomorrow and put it on here so you can tell me...

Look on the back - it shows all the icon logos and what each icon logo is.

Duh! Didn't take it out of the magazine wrap since I wasn't going to read it last night...

The best thing I can tell you is check ebay...I tend to see some D23 stuff there. (or of course, become a D23 member...)

As much as I would like to become a D23 member, I really can't afford it, unfortunately. And besides, I bet I wouldn't get this magazine, I would get the next one after this, wouldn't I?

Actually, I think you get the current magazine. Since the next one won't come out til November or so (Winter issue), you might actually get the Fall one. When we signed up, it was about this time last year, so the fall issue was the first issue we received.

I would have to agree with MmeLeota, if you could swing the membership you would most likely get this current issue...barring that, ebay is probably as good a place to check as anywhere else. I didn't get an Imagination patch so I can't help you out...sorry

Hmmm, I am starting to wonder too. The back of the package stated that there were 9 different patches...maybe it has to do with charter member status, or geographical regions?

I just hopped over to another site to see if anyone else received a different patch. One got Horizons and another got Communicore.

This only piqued my curiosity even more!!!

That would be cool, but I don't know that would be enough for me to keep renewing...and they haven't done any more writing contests which really piqued my interest and got me to renew this time.
