If you check the Disney on-line store, they just put up for sale the WDW 40th Anniversary Vinylmations.

Okay, I'll admit to thinking that some of those are pretty sweet (as are the national flag series), but I'm waiting until the trip before I consider a purchase.

Although my guess is that my souvenir budget will be entirely eaten up by SW and ST2 merchandise...

eta: actually, I really love this one. http://www.disneystore.com/vinyl-figure ... 1/1000284/ I hope they have it in the parks when I'm there.

That one is kind of interesting...not enough to entice me to buy it, but I kind of like it :D

:D... I'm proud of my VM minions...

Seriously, I'm proud of you MmeLeota! I agree, as Phil is my favorite from the Animation series. I bought 5 boxes to try and get him. I got the Fairy Godmother, Alice, Prince Naveen, Donkey Pinocchio and Marie. I traded everyone except Pinocchio and got my Phil from someone online.

The MmeLeota vm is going to be released in the Fall as a Haunted Mansion series. PROBABLY around the MNSSHP.

momeja - The Star Wars VM's turned out REALLY nice. I have Boba Fett, C3PO, Luke and a Stormtrooper. I highly recommend these if you are Star Wars fans.

A LOT of people think that the Darth vm is the best of the series. I haven't seen it in person, but the pics look pretty cool. He also comes with a light saber...

It's amusing that vinylmation has taken over. I'm still in the era of pin collecting though I haven't bought anything lately. I get picky with the pins I want to buy for myself.

I'm not crazy about the Vinylmations, but this one and the Dole whip ones are really cute!

Though this one is quite... bizarre looking to me...

This is the Tinker Bell one. It's the placement of the lips that really bothers me.

Well yes, but some of them definitely more than others! I like a lot of the attraction, food, etc. type ones because it's more of a design. But I haven't seen a character one (well of course, other than Mickey) who doesn't look bizarre.

I gave someone a Jack Skellington VM once, and I have to admit he did not look that bizarre compared to the rest. Maybe because it was just black and white made it not look as bad as the rest?

I've by no means looked at all or even a lot of the vinylmations, so I'm sure there's ones that look nice that I've just not seen. Out of curiousity I looked him up and you're right, he does look a lot better! I think I've also noticed that animal or other types of creatures have a better chance of looking okay than a human character. A lot of the humans end up looking like monkeys to me.

That's Tinkerbell?! I wondered why Alice had a green ponytail
Yeah, the lips are kind of badly placed

I've tried to figure that out too. I've looked at my Mom's (in the box since she still refuses to take it out) and the character just seems to fit the mold a bit better than the other characters...
