You can call them dollies if you want. Doesn't bother me. Remember, I've already lost my man-card on this site!

This is true, we know you are a sensitive sweet guy and we still like you! But I think it bothers mindflipper...just a teeny tiny little bit

Personally, I don't care if they're dolls or action figures - I don't collect them at all, but I was trying to help NaCler get his man-card back.
I personally label as a "money-making fad" no different than beanie-babies, furbies, and iphones.

Did you know that they actually have pins of the vinylmation figures? Isn't that double-dipping?

I honestly cannot, the only collectable fads I can think of offhand are the vynilmation, the pins, the various card series, and possibly the beanie baby knockoffs.

I'm holding out for a vinylmation keychain. Only thing is it's in the mystery box as well so the only ones I'd want would be Woody, Buzz or some other character I like. Time to search ebay or amazon.

Yeah, I haven't seen he keychains yet but you have mentioned them. They might be something I would try buying...at least one time. The one I bought for Mom is actually a square-ish Figment (I suppose it is shaped like the little vinylmation dolls

) that slips over your key for decoration. I'll have to snap a photo of it to share...

If you don't mind them being as large as an aquatic keyring you could always make your own. They do float right?

I don't know if anyone actually ever tested this while we were down there in December?!

I do remember it being a topic of discussion prior to the trip though...

As NaCler is probably the single owner with the largest collection so far (I guess that makes him the Grand Poobah of Vinylmation on Subsonic) maybe he could test out the floatability of these items?

http://www.disneystore.com/vinylmation- ... 2/1000284/ These are the keychains for the series 2.
From left to right: Goofy, Donald, Pluto, Buzz, Pooh, Figment, Snow White, Peter Pan, Cheshire Cat, Woody, Cinderella, Nemo, Genie, Minnie, Chip, Tigger and the mystery ones.
I really want Peter Pan, Buzz or Woody. I didn't know what Snow White and Cinderella were until I looked today.

I bet his kids would love to test them out in the bathtub!

Those cost almost as much as the full-sized ones

I'm sure my Mom would want the Figment one, and the Pooh one is pretty cute. Doubt I will take a chance on the mystery ones though ~ there are a lot that don't look anything at all like the character they are supposed to be!

In the name of science I will sacrifice my least desired VM (Big Baby from Toy Story Series)... Actually, since they are vinyl, water doesn't hurt them... but it sounded good. I'll let you guys know the results. I assume you guys want pictures???
msswann - Thanks for posting those. I haven't gotten into the key chains yet but I know my kids want some now and that's how my 3" vm collection started, so... thanks.
Amy - Unfortunately, the one I think you would really like is from the first series and therefore harder to get. It is on Ebay now:

**Note: I DO NOT endorse Ebay in any way, shape or form. I have absolutely no part in the auction that is posted. It is just for reference purposes.
